On the road of life, there are certain birthdays that are particularly symbolic. These are some of life’s special milestones:
- At 7, your First Communion if you are Christian.
- At 13, your Bar Mitzvah of Bat Mitzvah if you are Jewish
- At 16, your mom or dad don’t have to chauffeur you around anymore
- At 18, you get to serve your country and vote
- At 21, now you can drink (legally)
- At 30, you are presumably an adult
- At 40, you either know where you’re going —or worry if you don’t
- At 50, AARP membership mysteriously arrives at your mailbox
- At 65, the government starts picking up your tab!
August 25, 2012 and Manny has arrived at Mile Marker 65. Spending it in Niagara Falls seemed perfect. For decades it’s been a place to celebrate milestones, where many people start their lives together, where a few walk a tightrope, and others go over in a barrel.
And some —like us— spend it awash in good clean fun…
